Yeah, there are pros to a healthy, smart & caring society- but the huge con would be that I wouldn´t have anything to write about! Since 99% of the people lie 99% of the time (not speaking the truth IS lying) AND considering the fact that humankind is in the REALLY EARLY START of "alphaphase slash stage" (examples- we allow alcohol, guns, people).. there´s no RUSH to being understanding and intelligent, yet.
Fine example of not even slightly trying to be wise is the religious people (GOD(haha)! I can feel the hate wave coming already!) Okay okay! I´m not gonna be THAT harsh, I mean.. yeah, you kinda have to and eventually at one time or another do believe in some power higher & more intelligent than you - to some people dogs perhaps, presumably G-O-D & whatnot mythical madeup creatures.
Main thing I wanna discuss here (see! the smart people already knew what I was eventually going to talk about!).. is the BIBLE! Oh the holy fucking book of what-cha-might-call-it. I KNOW that I give too much credit to the "21 century" ideology, but.. what the?!
Nowadays I kinda expect more of people, I don´t really know why, because ATLEAST 70% of people are uncaring pieces of shit, who should just fucking wank off (I know women can´t do that- you go practice some mental-violence on men or whatever) DAMNIT! I forgot where I was going with this.
Oh yeah.. nowadays I guess everyone should KNOW that THE bible was written by basically random people who wanted to seize control over some uneducated regions of totally braindead farmers.. that´s a fact! so.. tell me again WHY do so many people NOWADAYS take it as a manual on how to live? (rhetorical question!)
I´m a BIG fan of encouraging people to do what ever they desire, but.. there should be some LAWS against this kind of bull, ah.. I FORGOT! The world is still in the religious period & churches make the rules.
- I can see it now.. ~800 years from now everyone´ll look back and say: HAHA WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING IDIOTS THEY WERE! geez! thank Mahi(god of their time- as long as there are people, there will never be the lack of ways to control humanity) that we got over the 'STUPID AGES OF 21 CENTURY!'

I can understand and relate to your view on religion considering the way we are fighting over something that is beyond our understanding. Its really thought provoking!!!
I have never read Bible, but I believe that the religious scriptures (be it Bible, Quran, Geeta..) ain't as wrong as their interpretation drawn by us. May be we have completely ruined the meaning of all of these. May be the meaning of "Love thy neighbor" was "Love thy neighbor irrespective of his religion, gender, sexual orientations or color of skin" and we interpreted it as "Love thy white Catholic Christain neighbor".
I don't have as much problem with the holy books as I have with people who do not understand them and yet preach them. Heard somewhere "All religions are created by the devil to separate man from God." must be a wise person!!!
Thanks for your comment. In that post I was basically angry at all(including myself) for doing irrational things like blaiming others and expecting it to bring a change in the world around.

Why would people in 800 years time look back on now and think we're stupid when they can look back to the middle ages at the inquisitions and the crusades?

From an objective stand point, and all contexts of history and culture taken into consideration, the bible is completely fascinating. Think about it, if it wasn't, then why is the the most published book in the history of the printing press?
That aside, personally, I am a follower of the Christian faith (and surprise, I'm NOT a right-wing conservative). I find that by following the example Jesus Christ left us, my life has purpose, truth, and fulfillment. And while I'm not saying I'm not a moron sometimes, I feel like I'm an intelligent human being for the most part...
So now that I've painted a giant target on myself out there for all the cynics: fire at will.
@here i am: I´ve examined this at one point in my life and.. I haven´t still found a better solution to the whole religion problem than to just get rid of the fucking assholes.
There are A LOT of good, caring people in this world and.. we´ve created (okay, not WE, but the fuckards who are like 30+ years older than me) a society where.. to get along, you have to be an ass.
EVERYONE KNOWS THAT - so it SHOULD have no affect AT ALL, but it DOES, proving.. 70% of the population are just plain stupid twits.
I mean I do believe in GOD(using this as a name to describe) but.. my god seems to differ A LOT from the other moronic, stupid& nearsighted "mythical creatures." I´ll write about this some other day perhaps :)
@B: One reason is because we don´t know why this time COULD be more significant than the times before. We live in here, right now, without seeing everything clearly and objective - but I have a HUNCH that right now is somewhat memorable, I have no idea why.
@Sarah: So true, so true - but also, we could accept that every moment we live, we´ll always be a lot stupider than in the next moment and just.. not give a rats ass about it :)
@Elle Bee: Bibles popularity amazes me almost as much as Bush being re-elected- just makes you go WHY?!?!?!??!?!?!
It´s everyone's own way how they live their lives, but.. I just prefer living by my own rules, but my own.. ideas, thinking analyzing guessing, taking risks and whatnot.. love it and that´s why I´m doing it :)
