I thought this was an old tradition of somesort and certainly forgotten by now, but.. it seems it isn´t.
My friend thought he lost his wallet a few days ago and.. he wasn´t even a bit worried about that, which kinda surprised me. I mean.. yeah, there´s never a reason to panic and stuff, but.. personally I couldn´t be arsed to redo my cards and shit, so I´d put more effort into finding it.
He said the strangest thing to me, which made me go WTF?! after I asked why isn´t he searching for it: "No worries, I wrote my address inside my wallet. So if someone finds it, he´ll bring it to me." - ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! in today's world?
It´s almost like saying to the person who finds it: "Hey, you like what you see? There´s plenty more of that where it came from." and.. like it´s not enough you lost your wallet, you´re giving him your home address so he can fucking steal EVERYTHING you have!
Once you´ve lost your wallet- LET IT GO! geeeeeeeeez, no need to give the robber rest of your belongings! If you freaking live on the street, THEN you can like add an address and a time to meet, IF the finder\robber is willing to bring it to you, since.. then you´re not actually tempting him to take more, since you don´t have anything more.
Oh and if you actually do live on the street - what the hell are you doing with a wallet? Sell it and rent some shit to live in!

I write on con men all the time, and it's hard to believe in such cases of "blind faith" as this one.
Nowadays, there are no way they will give back our wallet or stuff that have lost.May be the will just get the money and throw the rest as a garbage :)
Bummer for your friend...
But...
I would have returned the wallet. :)
Thanks for commenting on me, too.
Yeah.. you know. If I found that wallet.. I'de return it too.
After searching throught it of course..
Ide laugh at his drivers license.. then possibly see if he has any of those punch out cards.. that go toward discounts. If he did, I'de take those for myself as my "reward"
Then.. Ide look for a condom..
Then... Well.. I suppose I would look through his pictures.. get a feel for "him" If he was HOT.. well than I'de look for a phone number and tell him to come to my place to pick it up.
If he was not HOT.. well than I'de UPS that fuckin' wallet straight to his house.
:)
You are funny, by the way.
@Jack: It seems people nowadays are convinced to rely on the system and strip everyone of the right to protect and live their individual lives, so this is not really a "surprise." But yeah, it´s kinda sad.
@Scients: Yeah, there´s a very high chance of that happening.
@Elle Bee: Aww- sweet of you, it´s good to know that there are good people out there =) and yw
@Sarah: HAHA :D You naughty girl :p but hey, who could resist to look inside and see what the person is like, that´s the least you deserve for finding it in the first place =) Love your honesty
thanks for the compliment and also thaaaaanks a lot for finding the time to comment, really appreciate it!=)

Oh wait.. i forgot... I didnt get married because:
My fiance abused me, on an occasion or two. There, now you have it.
:)
But-- Dont worry. Dad kicked his ass.
Oh god :\ *hug*
.. tho you know that you didn´t just share that with me, you also shared that with the anonymous perverts that are reading this?:p just making sure
but I really hope everything is good and.. I wish I could do something to make you feel better and if I catch that guy, I´ll beat the crap out of him :)
Haha.. thanks Ray.. its cool.
The world can know. :)
:-D Hope he was extra considerate to whoever it was and left a key in the wallet too, just in case they didn't feel like breaking in to see what else he had!
I'd return a wallet but I can see why so few do now. My 84 year old grandaunt found one a few weeks ago and returned it, the person went insane with them cos it was missing a fiver... even though it had an ATM card and two credit cars in it still.
